Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 pork loin chops (bone-in, ½ thick)
  • 1 T vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  1. Rub chops with black pepper.
  2. Heat oil over medium heat in the skillet. Brown chops on both sides.
  3. Add onions and water to the pan. Cover pan and reduce heat, simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Turn chops, cover and cook until water evaporates and onions turn light to medium brown.
  5. Remove chops, serve with onions on top.
